An Ego Fracturing Experience
From Brian Martinez So, what is an “Ego Fracturing Experience” (EFE) and why is it so important? An EFE is an incredibly growth-filled, albeit emotionally challenging experience that happens when you fully immerse yourself into a new space that you’re not actually prepared for. EFEs are important because they’re one of the fastest ways to grow and you grow in multiple directions at once. The challenges that you face lie so far outside of your comfort zone that you become a new person by facing and overcoming them. Read the full article on GrowthSnacks. |

How will you heal during COVID-19? From Genesis Healing Institute UPDATE! For those interested in utilizing the Healing Roadmap, Genesis Healing Institute has created a new version of the model which is more broadly focused and is broken up into specific sections to make it more readable. There is a complex web between an individual's experience of trauma and the contributing environmental, political, institutional & historical factors at play. This complexity entreats a tension not easily reconciled. While it is true that most trauma in our society stems from a larger social, economic, and/or political injustice, for an individual to begin their healing journey at such a scale can be overwhelming, ungrounded and quite taxing. Yet on the other hands, healing efforts which individualize trauma to the exclusion of larger systemic/historic oppression, violence and injustice, are often anemic, ineffective and complicit in perpetuating the very trauma it professes to heal. It is wonderful to see people heal their personal wounds and live a more vibrant life, and it is my hope that they do not simply stop there. Especially right now, I hope the experience of pain and suffering can unite us with all other people and creatures who are also suffering, so that we may become an advocate for them as well. This is transformative healing. To that end- inspired by a graphic getting circulated recently- we wanted to offer our own version which centers this type of transformative healing. |
