Please use our Voter Outreach Toolkit to promote the 2020 vote!
What’s different about this kit is there is a contest and a Wonder Womxn Mini Book illustrated by Angel Trazo, author of We Are Inspiring: The Stories of 32 Inspirational Asian American Women.
This voter outreach kit is intended to promote a democracy for all. Below you will find a table of contents with tools to create a localized outreach plan for each county in California. Before you start, you need to know about California’s Voter’s Choice Act, which has modified how voting takes place. The notable differences:
- Every registered voter will receive a mail-in ballot 28 days before voting.
- Voters will have 3 ways of turning in their ballot: (1) by mail, (2) dropping off the ballot in a secure ballot drop box, or (3) visiting any voting center in the county.
- A traditional polling center will be changed into a Voting Center where you can:
- Drop off your ballot
- Get a replacement ballot
- Vote using an accessible voting machine
- Get help and voting material in multiple languages
- Register to vote or update their voter registration
- Complete Same Day Voter Registration
Take what you want from this kit, change it to fit your community’s needs. This year is a big election year and we want you to voice your opinions through your votes, no matter your political affiliation.

Voters can use the conditional voter registration process from the day after the deadline all the way through Election Day. Eligible citizens can go to their county election office, polling place, or vote center to register and vote conditionally. These ballots will be processed once the county elections office has completed the voter registration verification process.
