Meredith "Mer" Curry
Principal Consultant and Owner East San Jose, CA Mer works with entrepreneurs, nonprofit and education organizations to increase capacity organization-wide. She works with their leaders and professionals to enhance fund development, board management, programming, data analysis, Salesforce, and general operations strategies and processes. Mer started consulting in 2011 as a sole proprietor and has worked with several organizations across California. Mer founded AdvancED Consulting, LLC in May 2018.
Fun Fact: Mer speaks Tagalog fluently and has a enjoyed a long history of Filipino cultural and hip hop dance. In addition to performing on collegiate teams, Mer performed with street teams and was featured in the TV Shows "Dance 360" and "Marty's Corner." Mer has taught hip hop in dance studios across California to children as young as 4 years old through adult. Learn more about Mer.

Michael Nuñez

Michael provides business development, financial, reporting, and technology expertise. As the CFO and Managing Partner of Preventative Healthcare Services (PHS) from 2013-2019 owning and operating multiple outpatient clinics in Mountain View, Redwood City, and other Bay Area cities, Michael single-handedly managed the financial, data, and technology systems and processes for the organization. Michael recently served as the Tech Consultant for NCLF 2020. Michael also supported the project management of the 2019 APALI Gala. |
Amparo Diaz
Office Management Consultant & Admin Expert Los Angeles, CA Pronouns: she/her With a Microsoft Office Certification and over five years of Salesforce knowledge, Amparo Diaz offers office administration, data and analytics, coordinator for team projects, and executive management expertise for clients like AdvancED. Amparo has worked in the nonprofit sector for over a decade with a focus on education and youth development. Her previous experience includes working as the Virtual Administrative Assistant in the Business Operations team for the California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI), the Office Manager for South Central Scholars, and the Administrative Assistant and Evaluation Coordinator for both South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project and South Bay Center for Counseling were she focused on data, grants, and special projects. Fun Fact: Amparo has turned her passion for crochet into a small business called Apples Handmade Creations, which she honors her mother Luz Diaz for teaching her this unique skill. Kyra Young
Marketing Coordinator, Graphics Designer, Writer & Consultant Austell, GA Pronouns: she/her Kyra has worked in multiple industries from education and nonprofit to tech and business. With a B.A. in African-American Studies/Sociology, B.S. in Political Science, and a minor in Labor and Workplace Studies, her experience includes over fifteen years of customer service, over twelve years of Microsoft and Google, over ten years of nonprofit coordination, and over seven years of entrepreneurship, graphic design, social media, and marketing communications. Fun Fact: Kyra owns multiple beauty businesses that seek to empower women to embrace their natural curls and love their skin. Her companies have been featured on Good Morning America, Essence Mag, Mashable, LA Sentinel, 102.3 KJLH Radio, VoyageLA Mag, and sold in select Target stores. Marissa Martinez
Performing Artist, Event Coordinator, Outreach Specialist, & Freelance Writer San Jose, CA Pronouns: she/her A creative writer and youth development coordinator based in San Jose and the South Bay Area. She strives to foster more confidence and creativity in youth and families so that they feel inspired to create art in their own backyards. As a founding director of More Más Marami Arts, Marissa is committed to sharing stories of underrepresented communities and creating an inclusive community. Adelina Tancioco
Inspirational Speaker, Spiritual Life Coach, & Cultural & Healing Activities Consultant San Jose, CA Pronouns: she/her A Spiritual Life Coach and Inspirational Speaker: Adelina Tancioco, MSW, is trained as a therapist, restorative justice practitioner, and certified coach & consultant, however, she most identifies with being a vessel of healing. As the founder of Surrendered Healing, she specializes in serving Womxn of Color in moving past the Imposter Syndrome and trusting their higher selves to create the abundant lives they truly deserve! Azucena Flores
Project Manager and Chief of Staff to Executives New York, NY Pronouns: she/her Azucena spent eight years in the financial services industry. She began her professional career at Merrill Lynch in the Private Banking and Investment Group, where she was in charge of monthly, quarterly, and yearly investment performance reporting. Azucena attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering and a minor in Structural Engineering. Azucena recently served as the Project Manager for NCLF 2020. Azucena also supports Mer as her Chief of Staff, supporting her work with the Northern California College Promise Coalition and more. |
Anthony Lê
Life Coach, Trainer, Community Builder & Leadership Consultant San Jose, CA Pronouns: he/him A driven leadership consultant, coach, and trainer with many years of transforming leadership during their pivotal moments. Michelle Tran
Outreach Coordinator, Intervention Specialist, & Survivor Advocate Sacramento, CA Pronouns: they/them Michelle has an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. They worked in domestic violence and sexual assault as an intervention specialist, advocating for survivors and hosting groups with young men discussing their meaning of masculinity, healthy relationships, and tools of intervention in situations of sexism, racism, and homophobia. A 2nd generation Vietnamese-American, learning how to provide service to the larger community from a transformative justice and abolitionist policy framework.
