2025 Resources
Thanks to the many partners, friends, colleagues, and supporters in the AdvancED community, we have access to just-in time information, resources, and updates to support students, families, educators, PK-20 institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, and the community at large as we navigate the new challenges of 2025, TOGETHER.
Will this page also include a calendar of events? NO. Because of the quickly changing landscape and the flurry of events hosted by partners and allies in response, we are not able to post EVENT information at this time. Instead, we HIGHLY encourage you to sign up for the listservs of the organizations listed on this webpage.
Updates are as of February 5, 2025 @ 8:00 am PT

Resources for Families with Children
As a huge supporter of child savings accounts (CSAs) and champion of California's CSA program CalKIDS, I encourage all families to look into their eligibility! All newborns born after July 1, 2022 (regardless of income) and low-income 1st-12th graders (including those who have graduated) have accounts waiting for them seeded with $25-1,500 that have accumulated since opened! In Santa Clara County alone (where the founder Mer lives), there are over 140,000 families with accounts waiting to be claimed (with a total of $54 Million!).

Resources for Immigrant Families
As a member of the Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofits through NCCPC, I'm grateful for all that SVCN is doing to lift up resources for our immigrant communities. Thank you to those who post trusted resources like this to the SVCN Slack Channel! This comes from LUNA.
The Rapid Response Network of Santa Clara County manages the Rapid Response Network hotline: (408) 290 1144.
Please call them if you see/think you see immigration or someone has been detained. This number is for immigration emergencies.
The following are additional resources and tips to support your neighbors, loved ones, and community members:

The following are additional resources and tips to support your neighbors, loved ones, and community members:
- If you need general help please visit this website to find the relevant trusted organization: https://desj.santaclaracounty.gov/oir/resources
- You can refer to our social media accounts for updates.
- Using those accounts helps us keep the line open for emergencies such as detention or firsthand witnesses. We will not send legal observers for one rumor. If someone calls and says they saw something on social media, I say “please respond/comment on the post or story and ask them to take it down as unverified reports cause panic. Ask them to call us directly because first hand reports support us in activating legal observers”

- Link is for schools, organizations, businesses, etc., who would like to request Know Your Rights (KYR) presentations, first responder trainings, mass yellow and red cards, or for our team to participate in an event. Please note that you must fill out the form to request any of these services. We will no longer accept requests by email or phone. Link: https://bit.ly/RRNSCCRequest
- If your agency would like to order red cards and is able to pay for them: https://www.redcardorders.com/
- If your agency would like to order red cards and is not able to pay for them: https://www.ilrc.org/red-cards-tarjetas-rojas (they're sending max 250 and shipping may take 4-6 weeks. You can also visit the Office of Immigrant Relations at the county and they may be able to provide some.)
